PARKHILL Day Centre is holding its annual art exhibition in Maryport and needs help now.
The group is looking for photos of memories of Maryport’s past and, in particular, anything with a war time theme.
History has become an important and popular feature of Allerdale COSC's annual exhibition and this year will be no different.
Organisers say Broughton Moor, especially, played an important part in the war and photos and memories. Anyone connected with the movement of armaments by coasters and steamers from Maryport to naval bases throughout the UK would be welcome to visit or send in information and photographs. Organisers also want to hear from anyone who might remember the barrage balloons.
If you have photos or information, contact COSC or phone Jim Cunningham on 817494.
