Remembrance concert

Maryport will have its annual Remembrance Concert thanks to the mayor of Allerdale.
Coun Allan Caine has organised a concert at the Wave on Sunday, November 9.
It will be run by Chrissie Patterson BEM who has organised similar concerts for over 20 years.
When the Civic Hall was due to close, Mrs Patterson said last year's concert might be her last. But she said she has enjoyed getting everyone together again and is looking forward to trying the Wave as a venue.
The concert will feature 60 songs from both world wars. It begins at 7pm and tickets are £5 each with proceeds going to Alzheimer's Society Northwest, the Arthritis Research Campaign and Sailing for the Disabled.
