NEXT CONCERT ... Thursday August 28th JEAN MARTYN 8pm in the Ellenbank Hotel Maryport at 8pm.
Jean is one of our favourite performers and is making another return visit. She is very popular at our society. Jean plays a Yamaha EL 900 Electone organ.
Concerts commence at 8pm in the Ellenbank Hotel Birkby, MARYPORT.
Due to increased organists fees we have found it neessary to increase our charges. These have been held down for over ten years
Non members and visitors very welcome. Admision fee £6 (Under 16's free) Members £4
Visting musicians play modern electronic digital organs and or keyboards, such as Yamaha, Bohm, Versi, Hammond, Roland etc..(but no church pipe organs)
The sounds created can be quite amazing - anything from the big band sound to military bands or even solo instruments.
Music played can be almost anything from 60's pop to present day, classical music, music from the shows and films and even sing a long tunes. Every artist that comes along brings something different.
The evening comprise two one hour sessions with a short break in the middle.
